AprilAire 2210 filter size: 213, nominal 20 x 25 x 4

The AprilAire 2210 whole-house air cleaner ships with a 213 filter. AprilAire gives the 213 a nominal size of 20H x 25W x 4D and an actual size of 20.6H x 26.63W x 4D.

AprilAire's 213 page also says a newer UK213 filter with “One-Time Upgrade Rails” replaces the 213. We have not read a size for the UK213 yet, so we do not list one.

AprilAire lists the 2210 cabinet's actual measurements as 22.0625H x 6.75W x 27.375D (inches).

Why the actual size is larger than nominal

Most 1 in filters are cut smaller than nominal. The 213 is the opposite: its actual width, 26.63 in, is larger than its 25 in nominal width. A generic “20x25x4” filter from another maker may not match it. Read the model number on your cabinet and use the filter number the cabinet maker lists.
